The Scary School Start
Torbjørn is six years old. This autumn he is going to start school. Everyone is asking him whether he’s excited. After all, isn’t it always exciting to become a schoolboy? But Torbjørn is dreading it. He doesn’t want to stop going to preschool, and he doesn’t want to buy a schoolbag. Why can’t he just be happy like all the other kids?

One day mummy buys Torbjørn a dinosaur tooth, and she explains it will bring him good luck. Maybe this can help him? The Lucky Tooth is a tale about other people’s expectations of our emotions, set against the background of what can often be a frightening transition of growth – going from being very little to slightly older. The author’s illustrations are intimate and warm.
Format 21 × 21 cm. 48 pages.
