Eirin Hagen runs Hagen Agency. This was the first independent literary agency in Norway, established in 2005. For many years before founding the agency, Eirin worked as a non-fiction and big volumes editor. From 1997 to 2005 she was the Rights Manager in Cappelen, focusing on literary fiction and children’s literature. She also took courses in rights management at Oxford Brookes University, specialising in publishing. The agency places its independent status in high regard.
Hagen Agency works with fiction and children’s books (including picture books and YA novels), in addition to selected non-fiction. Hagen Agency represents a selection of authors and small- and medium-sized publishers. These publishers and authors offer a wide range of new, quality Norwegian literature. The agency attends the book fairs in London, Gothenburg, Bologna and Frankfurt.
